I completed the 10 Day Detox & really enjoyed it (didnt like the digestive bitters but still drank it).
At the end of the 10 days I felt really different, sort of lighter & diffenately proud that I completed it.
But now Im sort of stuck, I want to continue on with the healthy eating and found the discipline really good for me while on the 10 days but I cant figure out how to really incorporate it long term.
Is it recommended to continue to take the bitters, milk thistle & acidopholis as part of normal eating - should it be used so regimently each day?
Plus what would be the best multivitamin and calcuim and vitamen D to take while taking the other 3 each day.
Im 44 & go to the gym & just feel i need additional vitamens if I can incorporate some of the principles of the 10 Day Detox long term.
Possibly this is a very broad question & I havent provided a lot of information about myself - but I just a direction to go in & find what will work best for me long term, but dont know where to go or what is the best way (food, vitamens) to eat & avoid.
Any advice
Thanks
Sonya

Hello Sonya, I am Rosaria, one of the Blackmore naturopaths. Congratulations on successfully completing your detox and thank you for sharing your positive feedback on our community. You are a great example of how good our body and mind can feel after a detox.
You can certainly continue taking all or some of the detox supplements for as long as you need them, along with having a clean and balanced diet. Allow yourself one day when you may have a treat or two, if you want to. Just be flexible with what you eat, and remember that eating healthily with time will become a part of your lifestyle, like second nature. In regards to taking some vitamins, you may want to add a balanced multivitamin such as Women’s Vitality Multi or Executive B Stress Formula, if you feel you need some extra energy support. You may take those vitamins with your calcium and vitamin D3. All the best Sonya, and let us know how things go.

Thank you! I was thinking the same thing. I have just finished the 10 Day Detox, and felt a change in myself. No that I have finished, I was wondering can I continue to take the milk thistle and acidophidus as part of a regular diet. As I noticed that my bloating did disappear.

Hi Tania,
I’m so glad to hear that you finished the 10 Day Detox and can feel a difference in your body. It is not a problem to keep taking the Milk Thistle & Acidophilus bifidus as part of a regular supplement regime. I hope they continue to help you. If you find that your bloating returns, or if you have any other questions please give the naturopaths on the Blackmores Naturopathic Advisory Service a call on 1800-803-760 so that we can help you further. Kind regards, Charmaine (Blackmores Naturopath)

Hi, I am on the 10 Day Detox on day 4 and have been feeling very sick with bad headaches. Is this normal? I am thinking about going off it because I have six kids and cant afford to be sick. Any suggestions?

Hi Kim

I'm only day 1 and feel the same. Did you push through? Did it get any better?

Hi, My names Sharna and im 27 years old.
Im starting the 10 day detox this weekend, not for weight loss - but because I have a lot of digestive issues, bloating and generally feel quite unwell most days and hoping this is something that could help fix a few issues. Ive never done a detox before and have done extensive research on all the different detox programs out there before choosing this one.
Ill update as i go with this program in hope to shed light on others looking at starting/completing this - as when i read this blog, there wasnt a lot of comments to support it. Hopefully it works and i feel great after :) here goes nothing! xx

Hi. My name is Kat and I have just began the 10 day detox. Im on day 2. I feel sick, lethargic and bored of the liquid! I can handle eating sugarless, wheatfree, dairy free, but the water and herbal tea is a killer! Had a little bit of juice but as i dont have a juicer, it is very expensive. I have an awful headache and vision is dodgy. Sounds like everyone struggles around day 2/3. Hoping to improve soon.

Hi Sharna, good luck with your detox. As a naturopath, I get to hear some great success stories of how well people feel after a detox. Doing a detox to help imporve your digestion is a great idea. Just remember that the first 2-3 days can be the most difficult especially if you stop caffine for example. Drink plenty of water. Let us know how you go! All the best, Jennifer (Blackmores natruopath)
