Hi ladies, I'm curious to know how many people are waiting until 12 or 13 weeks to tell family and friends - or are you just telling people straight away?

Hi Michelle, when i was pregnant last i was 6 weeks, yes early i know, and told all family and friends because my first pregnancy i had no trouble at all. I ended up miscarrying at 8 weeks and had to tell everyone. So this time im waiting until 16 weeks just to be safe. You never know what can go wrong. Hope this helps you :)

Hi Michelle,
My husband i are expecting our sixth baby and we have always told our family and close friends straight away even though we too have lost two babies by miscarriage. If miscarriage does happen in the early stages you need your family and friends for love and support otherwise you grieve alone. God Bless

My husband and I are trying for baby number 2, and i have been thinking alot about what I want this time. My first pregnancy i miscarried at 8 weeks on christmas eve and was completely shattered, the fact we had told our parents and siblings did make seeing them all on christmas day that little bit easier, then facing them looking heartbroken saying "by the way we lost a baby yesterday" We hadnt told our best friends, and found that hard as we told them after it as we were all going away together. When i fell preggas again 2 months later we told our best friends, parents and siblings at 5 weeks. I knew this way if the worst was to happen again i would need them all more than ever. Our daughter is now 2 and is very ready for a sibling :)
sorry that was a bit of a long story, anyway my best advice, go with what your heart tells you not your head, heads over think things too much. In the end family and friends are the most important things to have when things are great and if things go bad. Love and support is the key :)
