Dairy-free Choc Smoothie

Need a chocolate fix but can't have dairy? This creamy and decadent chocolate smoothie, created by naturopath Rosaria Nithart, gets all its sweetness from fruit and is a great source of calcium.

Why it’s good:

Each serve of Origins dairy-free choc smoothie provides around 850 mg of calcium from Blackmores Origins Wholefood Calcium for healthy bones and teeth!

Preparation time: approximately 5 minutes
Quantity: approximately 2

Ingredients:

  • Blackmores Origins Wholefood Calcium 5 g (2 scoops)
  • Water 300 ml
  • Cashews 40 g
  • Cacao powder (for a choc free treat use carob powder instead of cocoa 3 tsp
  • Banana 1
  • Shredded coconut 15 g
  • Goji berries 20 g
  • Chia seeds 15 g
  • Date 1 (seed removed) or 1 tsp honey or agave syrup

Method:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a high powered blender for 40-50 seconds until mix is of desired consistency.
  2. Pour into two tall drinking glasses and enjoy!
  3. Store any leftovers for up to two days in the refrigerator in a sealed jug.
