Additional information

Common colds are a major cause of absence from work or school and the leading cause of acute illness in western countries. The risk of catching a cold increases during the colder months of the year when we spend greater amounts of time indoors and increase our chances of coming into contact with the virus. Other factors that may also increase an individual’s susceptibility to catching a cold include a nutrient-poor diet, mental and physical stress, lack of sleep and smoking.

Cold sufferers may experience a range of symptoms including sore throat, coughing, sneezing and a runny nose.

Echinacea angustifolia and elderberry are herbs traditionally used to help relieve the symptoms of colds. Echinacea is used in traditional Western Herbal Medicine to help relieve the symptoms of upper respiratory tract infections and to support the body during common colds. Elderberry also has a long history of use in Western Herbal Medicine and was traditionally made up into a thick syrup for coughs and colds.

Convenient and great tasting, Blackmores Origins Echinacea Elderberry does not contain sugar, artificial sweeteners or flavours, and is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Blackmores Origins Echinacea Elderberry liquid can be taken by children over 4 years, helping provide natural cold relief for the family.
