Biotin is an essential vitamin for the skin, hair and nails. Biotin may strengthen brittle nails and reduce breaking and splitting. It also may increase nail thickness.

Silica is found in all connective tissue including nails, hair and skin, where it contributes to collagen formation. Collagen serves as part of the structural framework for skin.

Zinc is essential to help maintain healthy nails, hair and skin.

Vitamin C is an antioxidant.

Silica is an ultra-trace element (required in small amounts) involved in the formation of bone, teeth and cartilage. Silica rich foods include whole grains especially oatmeal and brown rice and root vegetables.

Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) is a water-soluble antioxidant nutrient involved in many biological processes in the body. Vitamin C is found in a number of fruits and vegetables, great sources are capsicums, blackcurrants, oranges and strawberries.

Zinc is an essential trace element that plays a role in every living cell in the body. There are also around 300 enzymes that need zinc for healthy function. Zinc containing foods include meat, eggs, seafood- especially oysters, whole grains and seeds.



Manganese is an essential trace mineral that is a co-factor in many of the body's enzymes, including superoxide dismutase. Manganese can be found in hazelnuts, blackberries, pineapple, lentils, beans and whole grains.



Biotin is a water-soluble nutrient belonging to the B group vitamins. Food sources of biotin include cheese, cauliflower and eggs.

Adults – Take 1 tablet twice a day with meals, or as professionally prescribed.

Children under 12 years – Only as professionally prescribed.

Hi I have been using for 2 months only taking one a day my nails are fantastic strong long no splitting or peeling I am totally thrilled I'm 57 and I have never ever in my life had such great nails .. This stuff is a miracle in a tablet thanks heaps Blackmores 😃😃😃

is this product suitable to take for a while and will the horsetail deplete b vitamins? also is it ok to take with calcium and magnesium supplements?

Hi, I used a Blackmore's product as an early teenager that was very effective for skin. I don't think you still make it in the same form. But I wondered what the ingredients of this previous product were. It was a zinc based product, in a dark blue and white box, with three blister packs (I think) inside, the pills were blue and I had to take one or maybe it was two per day.
