Detoxification is a natural process our body undertakes every day, however there are some naturally detoxifying foods, we can add to our diet, that can aid and assist your body to eliminate toxins.

  • Lemons

    Add lemon to warm water in the morning to benefit from its alkalising properties which help to support liver function and the release of digestive enzymes that play a role in the body’s detoxification process. 

  • Lemons are also a rich source of vitamin C which is needed to maintain glutathione levels, a primary antioxidant that is essential in both phases of detoxification.
  • Green tea

    Being one of the most popular drinks consumed worldwide, green tea has a reputation for being the healthy alternative. Green tea contains antioxidants and is naturally high in chlorophyll, (chlorophyll is what gives green tea its green colour) it is highly regarded for its cleaning and detoxifying effects on the body.

  • Apple cider vinegar

    This is nothing new, apple cider vinegar has been a popular addition to diets for many years to help support digestion.

    Consuming a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar 5 minutes before a meal may help support digestion by stimulating the production of digestive enzymes ready to assist with the breakdown and absorption of nutrients from the food consumed.
