New Year’s rituals for growth and fulfilment

1 mins to read
Do you have trouble sticking to your New Year’s resolutions despite your best intentions?

Why not approach the beginning of another year differently and set a vision, intention and meaningful purpose for the year ahead.

There are many ways to do this – it’s just about finding the best way for you. Here are some suggestions:

  • De-clutter! Re-organise your bedroom, office space, study, kitchen – out with anything that you won’t need for the New Year, and make space for all that will come afresh.
  • Make a vision board. Use old magazines, draw, write and paint anything onto a corkboard or coloured piece of cardboard that represents what you dream of for 2013. Put it somewhere where you will see it every day so you are constantly reminded of what you want to create in your life.
  • Journal. Ask yourself the following questions and write down the answers. What were the highlights of the year that was for me? What did I learn about myself and others? What were my greatest achievements? What have I been most proud of in the past year? What would I like to do differently in the coming year? What are my goals for? Who is the person that I want to be while working towards these goals? What is most important to me? Set an intention for this fresh opportunity for change and renewal.

Do any of you already have New Year’s rituals that you do every year? What are they?

This is a great time of year to feel inspired by each other to bring about positive change. I’d love to hear from you.
