Does the switch to organic only foods provide a measurable effect on the levels of chemicals exposed to the body?

This was the question posed by researchers from the Swedish Environmental Research Institute.

In a small pilot study, commissioned by Swedish supermarket chain Coop
, a family of 5, who do not normally eat organic food, ate only organic food for 2 weeks.

The results? Eating organic foods reduces the levels of a number of chemicals and substances that we are exposed to through what we eat- and when converted are likely to drop these levels below the acceptable daily intake.
