1.Two serves of fruit and 5 serves of vegies daily
Think smoothies, soups, bolognaise sauce and snacking on fresh fruit eg. 1 banana, apple or orange or 1 cup or chopped fruit PLUS 75g or 1/2 cup cooked vegies, 1 cup of salad or 1/2 a starchy vege.
2. Keep sugar in check
Keep to 6 teaspoons a day max, read labels and look for hidden sugars like malt, fructose, corn syrup. Focus on wholefoods and check your labels avoiding maltose, fructose, corn syrup etc!
3. Snack on Superfoods
Better to eat nutritionally dense foods like popcorn, vege sticks, fruit, trail nut mix, cacao bliss balls than cakes, biscuits and chocolates.
