This cacao and coffee morning smoothie was created just for this reason. It is a low fruit smoothie recipe that is packed full of fibre, protein, healthy fats and antioxidants. It’s rich, warming and the perfect wake up call for any morning.
Ingredients
Makes 1 smoothie
Vegan, vegetarian, dairy free, gluten-free option
- 1-2 pitted Medjool dates, to suit your taste
- 2 tsp raw cacao powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp rolled oats, gluten-free if needed
- 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
- 1 tbsp hemp seeds
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- 300ml plant-based milk of your choice
- 2 shots ready-made espresso, from coffee maker or instant (optional)
- 2-3 ice cubes
How to make
Place all the ingredients into a high-speed blender until smooth and frothy. Pour into your favourite glass, add a reusable straw and wake yourself up with this bright breakfast smoothie
