½ cup almond milk
1 large frozen banana, cut into chunks
2 cups baby spinach
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
¼ cup rolled oats
¼ cup almonds
2 tsp maple syrup

How to make
To begin, prepare the strawberry puree. Place the fresh strawberries, chia seeds and almond milk in a small blender and blitz to combine. Remove and set aside.
Lightly clean out the blender and then place the remaining ingredients in the blender. Blitz until smooth and all ingredients are well combined.
To serve, divide the green smoothie between two large glasses. Then top with the strawberry puree, pouring the mixture over the back of a spoon, this will help to create the layered effect. Serve immediately.
Notes
Using maple syrup keeps this recipe suitable for vegans, however feel free to substitute for honey or just omit entirely.
